The Idaho Land Title Association (ILTA) is the premier continuing education provider for Idaho title insurance professionals and is pleased to offer this scholarship program to further its member’s understanding and expertise of the title insurance industry.

Each year the ILTA provides educational opportunities that are developed and presented by industry professionals and experts to provide title professionals with resources that will help you maximize your professional expertise as well as develop new skills to add to your toolbox. ILTA also delivers important, timely and relevant information about the industry to its members and helps members connect and network with their peers.

Attending ILTA education seminars supports the livelihood of the title industry in Idaho. By financially supporting ILTA, you are also supporting ILTA’s advocacy efforts. Through its full-time lobbyist and legislative committee, ILTA consistently and effectively advocates for the interests of title insurance professionals by supporting, introducing and opposing legislation.

Steps to apply: 

Step 1: Scholarship applicants must be actively employed in the title industry and their employer be a member in good standing of the Idaho Land Title Association prior to submitting a scholarship application.

Step 2: Complete the Scholarship Application in its entirety. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. 

Step 3: Complete a personal statement no longer 500 words. See below for criteria.

Criteria for Personal Statement: Please answer all of the following questions. 

a) What are your educational goals and how will this scholarship help you to attain them?

b) How will your education contribute positively to your employment and the community at large?

c) Please provide additional information that you would like the Selection Committee to consider including need.

d) Describe any community service that you have been involved in.

Step 4: Submit one (1) letter of recommendation from a non-family member (preferably a professional reference). See below for criteria.

Criteria for Letter of Recommendation: Please have the person writing the letter answer the following questions. 

a) In what capacity do you know the applicant? Please specify the relationship you have with the applicant.

b) What strengths, leadership attributes and characteristics does the applicant have that qualify them to be a scholarship recipient?

c) What professional achievements qualify the applicant to be a scholarship recipient?

d) Please provide any additional information that you would like the Scholarship Committee to consider about the applicant.

Step 5: Submit all completed scholarship applications to the ILTA Scholarship Committee no later than February 1, 2016. Completed applications can be emailed to . Put in the Subject Line: Scholarship Application.
